Reading - 15-20 minutes each night will assist with developing reading skills and extending your vocabulary. This will help improve your writing. It would also be great if for 5 minutes each night you read to an adult.
Mathematics - Using your username and password you can access IXL Mathematics. Focus on completing the Measurement section for your year level. Also complete the Studyladder activities on Measurement.

Spelling - We have returned to spelling words being studied for a fortnight. This will mean that the spelling test will fall in the middle of our homework cycle. In an attempt to facilitate student learning of spelling the lists will be published here as part of homework. Please practice your words both as individual words and as part of writing. Words will be tested each Friday as part of a dictation.

Please gather together your materials ready to build your community. As a lead up to this the students can play the Stop Disasters game which educates them about natural disasters and preventative measures. Each game takes about 20 minutes to complete. As part of Physical Education we will be focusing on Fundamental Movement Skills and ensuring that students have the correct technique for each skill. This fortnight we will be focusing on the Overarm Throw and the Catch. Physical Education will happen each Wednesday. You will need to practise each skill ready for assessment the following week.
*** Please note it is that time of year again when your supply of pens, red and blue, pencils, glue sticks, ruler and scissors needs topping up. Many students are struggling to get their work done as that don't have the equipment needed.
