Reading - 15-20 minutes each night will assist with developing reading skills and extending your vocabulary. This will help improve your writing. It would also be great if for 5 minutes each night you read to an adult.
Mathematics - Using your username and password you can access IXL Mathematics. Focus on completing the Geometry section for your year level.

Year 6 - You have an Author Study that you are working on in class. This Author Study is due Week 5. Researching your author and discussing your choice of authors with your parents would benefit your work.

Spelling - We have returned to spelling words being studied for a fortnight. This will mean that the spelling test will fall in the middle of our homework cycle. In an attempt to facilitate student learning of spelling the lists will be published here as part of homework. Please practice your words both as individual words and as part of writing. Words will be tested each Friday as part of a dictation.

Please gather together your materials ready to build your community. As a lead up to this the students can play the Stop Disasters game which educates them about natural disasters and preventative measures. Each game takes about 20 minutes to complete. *** Please note it is that time of year again when your supply of pens, red and blue, pencils, glue sticks, ruler and scissors needs topping up. Many students are struggling to get their work done as that don't have the equipment needed.
