Reading - 15-20 minutes each night will assist with developing reading skills and extending your vocabulary. This will help improve your writing. It would also be great if for 5 minutes each night you read to an adult.
Mathematics - Using your username and password you can access Studyladder. I have placed several activities there for you to complete. Please focus on trying to complete all set activities, as well as continuing to practise your multiplication. We have been revising properties of 2D and 3D shapes. Please look over these properties and discuss what they mean.

You will need to finish your recycled fairytale item. You need to create an item, eg. a fairytale diorama, Cinderella's glass slipper, a pumpkin carriage, from recycled items.
Year 6 - You have an Author Study that you are working on in class. This Author Study is due Week 5. Researching your author and discussing your choice of authors with your parents would benefit your work.
Year 5 -

Spelling - The results from last weeks spelling was disappointing both for myself and the students. In an attempt to facilitate student learning of spelling the lists will be published here as part of homework. Please practice your words both as individual words and as part of writing. Words will be tested each Friday as part of a dictation.

As part of Science and Technology we are creating catapults and testing them according to the Engquest site. Please gather together your materials ready to build and test your catapult next Monday.
*** Please note it is that time of year again when your supply of pens, red and blue, pencils, glue sticks, ruler and scissors needs topping up. Many students are struggling to get their work done as that don't have the equipment needed.
